RAF Lakenheath.....its been a blast!

After four and half years living in Lakenheath it came time to leave and move elsewhere for work. Having two active United States Air Force bases on my doorstep has been a fantastic experience. I will miss seeing the 48th Fighter Wing Eagles flying over my back garden and being woken at 05:00 with the house shaking when they departed on a live mission or deploying down range.

Living so close to RAF Lakenheath it gave me the opportunity to find various locations for photographs, instead of the usual ones I used to head to when visiting for the day. Running down to the runway 06 end or up to the warren was always great to catch a visiting aircraft.

These photos are some of my favourites from RAF Lakenheath and show some of the interesting visitors and deployed aircraft that I managed to capture over the last four years.
