With RSPB Lakenheath Fen only two miles down the road and with spring arriving i thought i would head down there to see if i could see some of the interesting residents and migratory birds. As always with wildlife you can never guarantee to see anything let alone the great selection of birds i managed to see. I have to admit that i never thought i would see a Bittern.....let alone flying. Alongside that there were Bearded Tits, Cuckoos, Kingfisher and various warblers. As i was heading back to the car park i heard a high pitched squeal and recognised it as a distressed rabbit. I crept closer to the noise and the movement in the grass and stopped suddenly as a Stoat poked its head above the grass. Luckily my camera was still on and i grabbed the shot below.
